Though Men have been made to be objects of great strength and capacity. Do they have to be “supernatural” to be real? Should men be expected to jump over buildings in a single bound?

Excluding the inevitable debate over Religions and their texts… There is no manual, code, or special language that holds the secret(s) of a “real man.” Men come in all forms, shapes, sizes, and colors.

Yes, as with all beings, it’s quite possible that men lack total perfection and flawless judgment. However, As long as he strives to be and do his best for all involved… he has already won half of the battle.

There are five essential elements from which a true man should be measured:

1. Any man that is considered a “man” has a devout love and fear [to show respect or reverence for or be in awe of] for the Almighty. No man can lead a fruitful life and be example to those that may revere him by walking by sight alone. A man of faith is one that can turn the lowest of lows into the highest of highs by simply thanking God for another day and the blessings He has bestowed upon him. A man of God can lack muscle tone and still be considered one of the strongest beings on Earth.

2. Men that accept and assist in the task of nurturing and raising children, and do so with joyous aggression, are rarity these days. A picture of a father, or father figure, enjoying time with children is a symbol of purity. A father is more than a provider or a breadwinner; he is the handler of knowledge. A father is one that shares his pain, needs, sorrows, and fears with his children while showering them with affection and providing them with serenity. A father is also a protector, willing to put his life on the line at the blink of an eye for the well being of his family.

3. The worth of a man is not measured in “sexual conquest.” In fact, there is high cost and little value associated with being “monogamously challenged.” Even the occasional dip into indulgence will upset the balance of any relationship. A faithful man is always a deterrent to temptation. Because it is easier for a person to find reasons to cheat than to believe in reasons to stay faithful, a faithful man should be cherished like precious gem. When a man is faithful to his mate, the relationship can only move forward.

4. A man of sensitivity and sensibility has the power to make his relationship golden. Having the want and ability to exhibit compassion and understanding without the fear of losing masculinity is a gift. Life teaches us that sensitivity is a feminine quality, only shown by those who lack testosterone. A man who that is able to shed an occasional tear is more of a man than those who refuse to acknowledge the emotion. A man who showers his woman with sensuality and bares his soul is a blessing to all those who know him.

5. Most women want nothing more than a man who has sharp communication skills. Communication does not always incorporate input. At times, a woman only wants to be heard. Sometimes, she may need an outlet to vent her frustrations. When a man can master the fine art of listening, his woman will fall more in love with him with each passing minute. A simple phrase such as “how was your day?” can make that day turn from bleak to beautiful.
