Media is always on the “look-out” for excellent writers and
dynamic material. Types
of writing: fiction, poetry, nonfiction, social interest, African
American history, and political analysis… We look forward to reading
your work!
General
Guidelines
- Submit
all material as a Word document.
- Submitted
material will not be returned.
- Send
submissions along with a brief Cover letter, as a word document or in the text of an email.
- Submissions
should be double-spaced.
- Completed
pieces only. Do not send queries
- Reprints
okay, as long as Author owns/retains rights.
- Standard
response time is 4-6 weeks. Submissions are accepted year round.
- Simultaneous
submissions okay as long as we are notified at the time of your
submission.
- Please
send submissions to the appropriate department.

should inspire thought and conversation.
- Writing
should display exceptional craftsmanship (clarity, concrete
details, accurate information, strong narrative development).

AND LICENSE
SUBMITTED
MATERIAL: Author(s) retain the copyright, but allow NEW-WORLD WRITERS
PUBLISHING LLC: exclusive royalty-free right and license, for a period
of two (2) years after the date NEW-WORLD WRITERS PUBLISHING LLC,
agree to terms with any party involved (listed author or authors), and
publicly announce the Award to publish, reproduce, copy, display, and
publicly perform the material throughout the world, in whole and in
part, in all print, electronic, online, digital, broadcast, and other
media, whether now known or hereafter devised.
Author(s)
also grant NEW-WORLD WRITERS PUBLISHING LLC, permanent non-exclusive
royalty-free right and license for the purpose of magazine reprints
only. Royalties will be paid for any other reasonable usage.
*Submitted
material chosen for publication will be paid upon publication.
COMMISSIONED
MATERIAL: NEW-WORLD WRITERS PUBLISHING LLC, retains all copyright and
license.
*Commissioned
material will be paid 50% upon assignment and 50% upon
publication.
